24 Hour Help

If drinking is a problem, the phone numbers below may help you get in contact with someone from Alcoholics Anonymous (AA). Some of these phone numbers are answered by members of AA, others are answered by a service which will put you in contact with a member of AA. Members are not counselors. We are volunteers who provide information to help people seeking what AA has to offer and answer any questions you may have.

Information for young people

This young person’s drinking was out of control. In this short video, they describe bringing a water bottle filled with vodka to bring to school. A chance opportunity to go to a meeting led them to choose sobriety in A.A., where they found friends, meaning and a new way of life.

An alcoholic black, trans woman got sober young, and realized that she did not have to be drunk to be creative. She took a chance on Alcoholics Anonymous and learned she didn’t have to drink one day at a time.
